The essence of good shoes: quality assurance
When manufacturing our superfit shoes, we always make sure that they meet the highest standards in terms of the way we work and the materials we use.
Since children's shoes in particular are subject to a lot of wear and tear, we attach great importance to the following quality criteria:
1. durability of the material
2. a light and non-slip sole
3. removable insoles
4. a pleasant shoe climate
Our shoes are regularly inspected both in-house and in independent laboratories in Germany and tested according to strict guidelines that go far beyond statutory requirements.
Trust is good, control is better. Especially in the value chain.
We use many different materials in producing superfit children's shoes. In this way we ensure the highest quality, durability and comfort. At the same time, we at superfit want to drive environmental and social sustainability along the entire value chain when manufacturing our collections.
Sustainability requires trusting and long-standing partnerships with our suppliers. We are convinced that we can only meet the high sustainability requirements of our products together with our suppliers.
Transparency and partnership
To meet our demands, we have our own production facilities in Hungary, Romania and India. We also operate our own logistics centre in Hungary. Because in order to be able to manufacture the best shoes in the world, we set ourselves the highest standards – also when choosing our partner companies. No matter whether in Europe or Asia.
Reliability comes from dependability
All our partners must act in accordance with our Code of Conduct and meet our standards for certification. We know exactly what makes our suppliers tick. In terms of craftsmanship, professionalism and humanity. They, in turn, know exactly what we value. That’s how we can absolutely rely on all our partners.
What we look for when choosing our partners
Resource-conserving sourcing: We aim to procure only as many materials as necessary and as few as possible. Ideally, these are reusable, durable, i.e. repairable as well as recyclable. Because that makes them energy and resource efficient. In addition, our materials should be delivered in environmentally friendly packaging.
Short transport routes: We attach importance to materials that are as regional as possible. Because that means short transport routes to our production sites. In this way, we reduce our carbon footprint – a little more with each delivery.
Transparency: All suppliers must complete the legero united material data sheet for all new materials. From the material composition, to the country of origin of the raw material, to all relevant sustainable information.
Only when the transparency of the supply chains is guaranteed are the materials accepted by our quality assurance department. There, they are thoroughly tested chemically and physically. If there are any changes in the raw materials, our suppliers must inform us immediately – without exception. We accept no compromises in this respect.
CO2 footprint: Our goal is to continuously reduce the CO2 footprint of our materials and products. This is the only way we can achieve a reduction in our CO2 emissions in line with the SBTi target path.
HIGG MSI: Wherever possible, our suppliers and our own teams check all materials against the HIGG MSI for any negative impact on the environment. So that we all choose only those that have less impact on the environment.
Code of Conduct: As a legero united brand, we at superfit also only work with partner producers who have signed the legero united Code of Conduct.That, naturally, also applies to our materials suppliers. We ask them at least once a year whether they comply with our Code of Conduct.
